About Me… Nancy Ivy
I’m a 57-year-old Wife, Mom, Grandma, Daughter of the Living God. I am very, very blessed in that my husband supports me fully. Actually, we support each other, and it’s not just that he brings home the paychecks and I spend them!
I’ve been working with computers since I was in college (1965-1969) where I learned tatting (threaded lace-making) and key-punching… both in the same office on the campus of Kansas State University. To key-punch, means to key letters & numbers into a machine that punches corresponding holes out of computer cards, with all sorts of information, including Fortran programming. So I picked up a basic familiarity with the languange… enough to know when what I had been given to punch had not been written correctly (minor “typos”).
I’ve been interested and active with computers ever since, although I have never gotten into the programming or creative side as my three sons have done. I use computers as tools in my daily living.
I like to read! I don’t like to read online or from the computer monitor, but I do. I much, much, much prefer to read books. Give me paper that I can hold, smell, feel, and mark!! (I’m a kinesthetic person.)
I like to write… informally. I journal for my personal use, and occasionally write poety, and I’m writing this blog! Why the blog? Because I like to share my joys, my recipes, my thoughts, my life. I love to share photos!!
So come along with me and share Life!
