Here’s my June 1st update about why I’m going on this trip. May The God of All bless you abundantly!

Today I am learning the music for our Eastern European Tour. It is helping me also to work on my violin skills. I began classical training with school orchestra in the 5th grade, played throughout high school, in the school orchestra, ensembles, and private lessons. I wasn’t all that great, but not all that bad, either. Among other things, playing second violin parts helped train my ear… or did my ear enable me to play second violin? Either way, my ability to harmonize instrumentally and vocally, with and without music, benefitted greatly. I have played off and on through my adult years, with church ensembles and orchestra and now on our church’s worship team. Again, I’m not a “professional violinist”, but I do have fun!! I am so happy to be able to take my violin on this trip and play to the Glory of Almighty God, the giver of all good things! The violin I will be taking is not the precious antique student violin of my Grandmother’s that I grew up on, but on a very nice Chinese-made Stradivarius-style with beautiful inlay, front and back. It has a very sweet sound that I like very much. I am blessed that my husband, Richard, gave it to me (a complete surprise!!) a couple of Christmases ago.
Thanks, God. Thanks, Richard.

I was reading this morning and this really impacted me.
The Word of the Lord: Isaiah 43, selected verses. (Read the whole chapter for more.)
Is. 43:1-7 But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in your place. Since you are precious in My sight, Since you are honored and I love you, I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life. Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, Give them up!, and to the south, Do not hold them back. Bring My sons from afar and My daughters from the ends of the earth, everyone who is called by My name, and whom I have created for My glory, whom I have formed, even whom I have made.”

Sorry about that. I’ll try to get back to posting more. I’ve been diverted by preparing for my summer trip.
